Arc de Roses Bed & Breakfast has stunning rural surroundings.  There are remarkable panoramic vistas ending in distant mountains.  Large boulders jutting out from the ground and a tranquil brook cascading over very large rocks. A mile from Arc de Roses is Lake Waramaug, a spring fed mountain lake meaning "good fishing place" in the local Native American language.  Mt. Tom Pond is approximately three miles away.  Activities such as swimming, canoeing, biking, boating, hiking, fishing, as well as ice fishing and down-hill and cross-country skiing in the winter, are available. Enjoy the  start of your day with a delicious breakfast.  Choose from a menu of gourmet coffee, herbal tea, juices, pancakes, French toast, quiche, granola, vanilla yogurt, fresh fruit (in season) and much more.  Finish up with banana nut bread, cheese Danish, apple bread and other home made delights.  We try to grant special requests. Cold  cereals are also available.   Breakfast is usually served, weather   permitting, on a large  high deck (see above) over-looking a rose and flower garden with the sounds of a running brook in the background.
